Assistant Professor of Economics at Western Kentucky University

David Beckworth is Senior Research Fellow in the Program on Monetary Policy at the Mercatus Center of George Mason University and former international economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and assistant professor of economics at Texas State University and Western Kentucky University. He has done research on the measurement of monetary policy, the transmission mechanisms through which it works, and its impact on the global, national, and regional economies. He has published in journals such as Economic Inquiry, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Macroeconomics, Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Cato Journal, and the North American Journal of Economics and Finance.
