Patricia H. Born
Patricia H. Born is a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, the H. and Charlotte Hodges Midyette Eminent Scholar in Risk Management & Insurance in the College of Business at Florida State University, and a Research Associate in the Florida Catastrophic Storm Risk Management Center. She received her Ph.D. in economics from Duke University and A.B. in economics from the University of Michigan. She has held appointments at California State University-Northridge, Shanghai Normal University, University of Connecticut, NOVA Southeastern University, and DePaul University. She has also worked in the Center for Health Care Policy and Research at the American Medical Association.
